The 1921 edition of "The Caissons Go Rolling Along" marks the first formal commercial publication of the song that eventually became the official U.S. Army song. While composed by Edmund L. Gruber in 1908, the 1921 sheet music solidified its place in American popular culture, and was officially dedicate to the U.S. Field Artillery. It was eventually adapted and adopted by the Army as "They Army Goes Rolling Along" in 1952.

Has some writing on the cover indicating it was purchased in 1944 (see photo) - otherwise it's in beautiful condition. No other blemishes. Comes in plastic Sleeve.
