Written by Billy Hill in 1933 during a period of finacial hardship, it was a massive popular hit that defined the 1930's western ballad trend, popularized by George Olsen and Bing Crosby. It was featured in the Ziegfel Follies of 1934 and is known for its lyrics about a cowboy's journey to the afterlife and subsequently rescued Hill from poverty.
"Git along, little Dogit, Git Along" by Billy Hill - Good Condition one taped tear and writing on cover (see Photo) binding intact. There's a note on Page 3 that says "*"dogie" a young calf - a yearling that has not wintered well." and also includes uke and guitar diagrams.
