Originally written by Irving Berlin in 1918 while Berlin was in the Army, he was a Jewish immigrant from Russia and intended it as a personal, heartfel expression of gratitude for his adopted country. It became a massive hit and solidified its place in American culture with it's First Performance by Kate Smith on Armisitce Day 1938. Berlin donated all royalties to the Boy and Girl Scouts.

This piece is in Good Condition for it's age. 2 tiny tears - binding is still connected and has 1 small stain. (See Picture) No Folds or writing. Copyright 1939. Comes in Plastic Sleeve.
